Dr. Panagiotis Psathas, MD, PhD, is a highly skilled obstetrician/gynecologic surgeon with extensive experience in reproductive medicine. He completed his medical degree at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating magna cum laude. After his studies, Dr. Psathas specialized in Reproductive Endocrinology and Assisted Reintroduction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has made significant contributions to assisted reproduction, particularly through his involvement in the groundbreaking maternal spindle transfer (MST) technique. In 2019, Dr. Psathas participated in the first-ever successful birth following MST, a technique aimed at helping women facing fertility issues and mitochondrial genetic diseases.
Dr. Psathas has run a private maternity and gynecological practice since 2000 and has been a founding member of the IASO Institute of Life Assisted Reproduction Unit since 2015. He has attended numerous postgraduate seminars and presented his research at both national and international conferences.
