About the Doctor
Born in 1966 in Chania, Crete, Dr. Emmanuel Daskalakis has always been driven by academic excellence. He graduated from the University of Crete’s School of Medicine in 1991. Following his rural practice and military service, he started his residency in general surgery at the General State Hospital of Athens “G. Gennimatas.” He later trained in Plastic Surgery at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, becoming the first non-Israeli Full-Time Resident in the program. Dr. Emmanuel Daskalakis specialized in craniofacial reconstructive surgery and hand surgery, earning Fellow titles in both fields. He has also conducted charitable work in the Palestinian territories and has been awarded the Grand Cross with a Crown for his contributions. With over 4,500 surgeries, including microsurgeries and aesthetic procedures, Dr. Emmanuel Daskalakis continues to provide exceptional care in his private practice in Crete. He has been a recognized speaker, trainer, and attendee at global conferences, maintaining a commitment to continuous education.

Mr. Daskalakis is a surgeon with all capital letters. He is also a man with all capital letters. He found a solution to my problem, at a time when other colleagues of his (in Heraklion) treated me with irony and complete ignorance. He has incredible experience (the number of surgeries he has undertaken regarding the problem I had is staggering), consistency, scientific integrity, and he analyzes what is necessary without impressing. In short: You do not leave his office to get a second opinion, whatever he says, that is how it is. The staff of his clinic, remarkable and always willing to listen to you and guide you. Finally, I cannot fail to mention that he answered my phone call while he was in the hospital and was preparing to operate. I highly recommend him!
