What to Expect
Before the visit: fasting for 8 to 10 hours is recommended before the blood draw and abdominal ultrasound. Patients should bring a list of current medications and any prior medical or cardiology records if available. No referral is needed. During the visit: the blood draw is performed first. The ECG takes approximately 10 minutes. The abdominal ultrasound takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. The cardiology consultation follows to review the ECG and discuss cardiovascular health. Total duration is approximately 2 to 3 hours. After the visit: a written English-language health report is provided the same day. Referrals for further investigation or specialist care are arranged if required.
