Service Summary

Our PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment that harnesses your body’s natural healing properties to rejuvenate skin, promote hair growth, and accelerate tissue repair. By extracting a small amount of your blood and concentrating the platelets rich in growth factors, we stimulate natural healing processes at the cellular level. This non-surgical therapy addresses various concerns such as skin aging, hair loss, and injury recovery, offering a natural and effective solution to enhance your body’s inherent abilities.

Side Effects

Side effects are generally minimal but may include temporary redness, swelling, or mild discomfort at the injection site. Our team will provide aftercare instructions to minimize any discomfort.

Why do PRP Therapy at Drakopoulos IVF?

Overview

Drakopoulos Reproductive Medicine offers Endometrial PRP to women with a persistently thin endometrium or a history of recurrent implantation failure. Using a concentrated preparation of platelets derived from the patient’s own blood, PRP is infused directly into the uterine cavity to support endometrial development and potentially improve implantation conditions. PRP is currently considered an investigational treatment; patients receive thorough counselling and must provide signed informed consent before the procedure is carried out.

What is Included

The Endometrial PRP procedure at Drakopoulos Reproductive Medicine includes:

  • Pre-procedure consultation and candidacy assessment with Dr. Drakopoulos
  • Blood draw from the patient
  • Centrifugation to prepare platelet-rich plasma from the patient’s own blood
  • Intrauterine infusion of PRP via a thin catheter
  • Post-procedure monitoring before discharge
What to Expect

Before: You will have a consultation with Dr. Drakopoulos to assess your suitability for Endometrial PRP — typically indicated for a persistently thin endometrium or recurrent implantation failure. Detailed counselling covering the potential benefits, limitations, and current evidence is provided, and signed informed consent is required before treatment.

During: A small blood sample is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. The resulting PRP is then infused into the uterine cavity using a thin catheter — a process similar in feel to an embryo transfer. The procedure is minimally invasive and does not require general anaesthesia.

After: Most patients can resume normal activities shortly following the procedure. Depending on your treatment plan, a follow-up assessment of endometrial thickness may be scheduled to evaluate the response before any subsequent fertility treatment step.

Duration

The PRP infusion procedure itself takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Allow additional time for the blood draw and centrifugation process prior to the infusion.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment date.
