Procedures
Service Summary
A child health screen with paediatric exam and condition-specific workups for allergy, anemia, immune, cardiac, urinary, growth, diabetes, and thyroid.
Possible Side Effects
Paediatric blood draws cause brief crying, a small bruise, and short-lived light-headedness; topical anaesthetic creams are used in many centres to reduce sting. Allergy skin testing produces small raised itchy wheals at the test sites for one to two hours. Urinalysis is non-invasive. Echocardiography and abdominal ultrasound are painless, with mild gel coolness. Growth and developmental assessment is observation-based and produces no side effects.
