Procedures
Service Summary
A blood-test panel for sexually and blood-transmitted infections, covering syphilis (VDRL), hepatitis B (HBsAg), hepatitis C, hepatitis A, and HIV antibodies.
Possible Side Effects
All results come from a single venipuncture, so physical side effects are limited to brief discomfort, a small bruise at the puncture site, and short-lived light-headedness in sensitive patients. There is no fasting requirement. Patients commonly report short-term anxiety while awaiting results; counselling is offered for reactive results.
