What to Expect
On the day of the appointment, present at the Check-Up Department after a 10 to 12 hour overnight fast (no food, water permitted). Blood samples (including HbA1c and TSH) and urine are taken first, then the upper abdomen ultrasound, the heart triplex examination, the carotid artery triplex ultrasound, and the lower-limb arteries and vessels triplex examinations. The diabetes specialist clinical examination and the ophthalmology examination with retinoscopy follow. The ECG is performed and reviewed by a cardiologist. A medical report with specific guidelines is issued at the end of the visit.
Duration
Approximately four hours, completed in a single visit at the centralized Check-Up Department.
